I dont like either party anymore. I was once a Republican, but they have left us high and dry. But I certainly would not be a democrat. They are far too libreral , to the point of socialism. So, neither of them represents the middle class hard working people. It seems as if they are almost against us, making our lives more difficult than ever. The democrats want to take all the money we earn and give it to the people who dont want to work.
"Conservative values" has become a contradiction in terms. The GOP is inherently hypocritical, since it operates only for the benefit of the wealthy, while enlisting legions of blind followers through its system of fundamentalist churches, most of whom are poor, and will be hurt most by Republican policies. The height of what has come to be called "conservatism" (neocons) was the closest this country has ever come to falling under the thrall of true evil. We can be pretty stupid, but we're not going to be THAT stupid again.
'Liberal " has become a contradiction itself. The DFL is inherently hypocritical since it operates only for the benefit of the minorities and the people who dont want to work or dont want to work very much, and for the illegal immigrants. It enlists legions of blind followers who watch NBC, CBS, MSNBC you get the idea. Their policies are destroying the Christian, hard working people of this country. What we have in control right now, is an evil group of people who want to destroy our country and its way of life and values. God help us all.

Sue Myrick of SC is the latest to jump on the bandwagon to terrify and brutalize the elderly with her lies about the Dems cutting Medicare when all the Dems want to do is cancel part C which gives big bucks to insurances companies to do what gov't run medicare already does. DO they have NO SHAME?
Independent voters are rapidly turning against the Democrats. This means the Republican party might be picking up some steam in terms of being an opposition party. However, they shouldn't take that to mean Independents are actually in favor of their extremes radical right agenda any more than we approve of the Democrats radical left agenda. Moderates tend to swing back and forth as the more extreme elements in either party start to take over without any party loyalty to care about.
We backed the Democrats in 2006 & 2008 after Republican mismanagement and arrogance in the previous years, and we're getting more and more annoyed now with the Democrats under the command of hypocrites like Nancy Pelosi. We were annoyed at the Republicans for trampling civil liberties, and now we're getting annoyed with the Democrats big government, fiscal irresponsibility and deficit spending, bailing out their Union thug politically favored allies, and trying to collectivize health care.
If the Democrats don't put a stop to their progressives push to make a hard left turn in the country soon, the party is going to be in for a shock in 2010 is my prediction. The center of this country sits a little bit to the right of center in terms of politics.

I watch Fox, CNN, and MSNBC, along with the occasional major? channel such as ABC. And, for me, there is absolutely no doubt that Fox tries to cover ALL sides of the news. I get upset with Fox on a regular basis BECAUSE of this. The others, well if you feel like everything grate leader is doing is WONDERFUL, if you get a tingle in your thigh at the very sound of his voice, if he is doing a better job than ANY President ever, if ACORN teaching ways to evade taxes and get free housing to child flesh peddlers and prostitutes and pimps as "just noise" if THE ONLY thing Republicans ever did was WRONG then yes by all means the others are definitely FAIR AND BALANCED. However, the Democrats are too weak to realize their supermajority in the Senate and cave in to McConnell and his band of "No to Everything Obama thinks is good" Republicans. What we need is to outlaw campaign contributions from corporations and businesses and to limit the amount donated by individuals to $10,000 annually. They should also have term limits like the president has, remove the pension benefit that elected officials get after serving a minimum of 5 years and have them put money into Social Security like everyone else has to, reduce the pay for all elected officials to the annual average salary of a household member ($26,036 in 2006), the average household income of our poorest state ($36,338 in Mississippi) or we could be generous and pay them the average household income ($50,233 in 2007) instead of the $174,000 to $223,500 they get now.
It's time control of the government was returned to the people from corporations.

Don't people look into anything anymore before they speak. A little knowledge can go a long ways. Education is the key, but I guess that's too hard for most people. The same is true of the second stimulus package, which was to be 780 billion, however, 250 billion wasn't needed at all, and has been taken off the table, and the other money (530 billion) is less than 3 years of war under the Bush administration. Also, its being used to improve conditions here at home, and not in a foreign country. Please, if your gonna argue in a public forum, don't look like total idiots because your not informed. Get informed, and then argue your hiney's off if you wish..but stop spreading misinformation! GEESh!
Saying nothing but "no" is going nowhere fast. It is always easier to criticize than to be creative and constructive. I think the majority of people in this country see them for what they are, and I am thankful for that.
