Who cares? The most self-centered people are the most boring. How many rings is he wearing?
Who cares? Everyone living in Cleveland care and all the folks who depend on the income this star brings to the city and region.
Who Cares what losers from a disgusting third rate city like Cleveland cares? Unless it happens in New York, it really doesn't matter what goes on anywhere else in the country. And especially some moron that can't do nothing else with his life other than play an ignorant game like most of his kind, oh silly me, in order for most of them to write, they first have to put down the 40 and the glock!
Don't make too much out of where the announcement is made from. He is in CT because he is in Melos wedding which is this saturday.
he will ditch cleveland cuz he knows he can't win by building a team himself, only chance he has is jumping on wades team, who's good enough to come through in the clutch and win a ring, unlike lechoker.
James will stay in Cleveland. NEVER did he intend otherwise. He has dragged out his decision to draw attention to himself. Two things this immature selfish drama king demands is attention and money. He could care less about championships as long as he has center stage and all the money he can grab. I do not fault him for taking the money. If the owner is willing to give James should be just as willing to take. I am disgusted with his ego and self importance. That is the main reason why he will not go to a team with other prime time players. It has to be all about James. He will never share the glory. He will therefore NEVER win an NBA championship. His team mates will not kill themselves for this ego manaic to receive all the credit. Kobe learned his lesson. Now he has the champsionships and the money to prove it.
CJ from Phoenix - Why do you think Coach Mike Brown was fired by the Cavs? Because LeBron wanted him gone that's why. That's why Danny Ferry is out as GM as well. Since LeBron has been is Cleveland he has signed off on every signing, trade, or front office move. Lebron talks about loyalty - The Cavs have shown him that unconditionally. We'll see tonight if he walks the walk the way he talks the talk!
I hope he stays in Cleveland b/c if he doesn't, announcing on National TV in front of everyone that he's going to Miami will insure that he'll never play in Cleveland in front of a crowd that worships him again.
He's choosing the Mecca over anything....Amare, Lebron and possibly Monte ellis to point?! Nasty!
LeBron only cares about LeBron. His comments that he wants to be the elite and make the most money tells you what he is all about. He made his name in Cleveland and that's his home area, means nothing. He said time and time again " It's a business". I feel sorry for those in Cleveland because he will let them down. My bet, he will go to Miami. Sorry Cleveland, It's another loss!!
I don't personally understand all of the ripping on LeBron for being a "media whore". He saw an opportunity because of all the attention his free agency is getting from the media to make some money for a charity he is passionate about. It doesn't really matter to me where he goes. He is a free agent and it is his right to sign with whom ever he chooses for whatever reason. The media created this firestorm, not him. In fact, he has been ignoring the media through this process. He has made his decision and sees how people are drooling at the thought of him playing for their team and saw a charity that he likes and thought hey, lets make them some money from all this stupidity. I like the idea. I am sure that he will be happy with whatever decision he makes, even if everyone else hates him for it.
These people are ripping on LeBron because most of them were raised to believe that if they work hard, go to college, etc., they will have a good job and live a prosperous life. As an American white male, it is their birthright.
Along comes some black guy, never even considers college, and his is getting paid more in one year than your average American white male makes in a lifetime of work. He earns this money playing a game that most white Americans view as "ghetto ball". This goes against everything they were taught to believe. Result: They're angry. They need to lash out at someone/something, so it's LeBron...this week.
Good point RickN!Why is everyone tryto look down there nose at Lebron.Helping a charity is always a good thing and he is and has been one of the best players in the league since the first day he got there. There are alot of us fans that are excited to see where he gos and if you say you would not want him on whatever team you root for your lying!!!!!
If Lebron comes to New York, He's King! If he doesn't well....I really don't care to much either way I guess, as long as he wins some NBA Championships, that way, the extremely rare signed McDonald's High School Basketball tournament Ball I own, that is signed by ten players, the Late UCLA Coach of Coaches John Wooden and the King, Lebron James as a High School kid, will skyrocket to the moon.
Regardless of who he decides to play for I still have to get up and go to job to earn in a year what he most likely earns everytime he shoots a free throw...So WHO REALLY GIVE A CRAP WHERE HE PLAYS?......NOT ME
James - you just proved my point (see my post above).
Most white Americans were taught to believe these three things:
Now some dumb jock, black guy earns more in a week than you'll earn all year, he's not even near 30 years old, and he earns his money playing ghetto ball. These facts do NOT sit well with the average American white male. LOL!
It's funny how all these conservative Republican types demand that we let the market dictate the economy, but they can't stand the fact that being able to play a game like "ghetto ball" well is a more marketable skill than your night school MBA! : )
Nissan:
And it is exactly your mentality that keeps 99% of the ghetto kids in the ghetto. It is unbelievable to me that you, first of all, turn this into a "race" issue, and second of all, your plan for the young black males in America to be successful is to play basketball. Yep, that plan will sure work well.
You mean I can't vote "who the @!$%# cares"?? Just like I can't believe that people are are actully gonna watch the "Look at me, I'm Lebron James" show tonight. GIVE ME A @!$%#ING BREAK!!!!

If he was making the announcement in Ohio I might think otherwise.
